Hi everyone,
I’m back in the office today after speaking at OWASP Birmingham last week so I thought I would share my mobile application security slides with you now. I mentioned in my talk that I have some potentially malicious .apk files available for those of you who want to do some analysis of real world apps. I decided against uploading them here but if you do want a copy please feel free to contact me directly and I will share them with you.
I planned to do a longer mobile application security talk until I saw that Paco Hope was going to be doing a talk similar to mine. I cut out the first half of the talk because of that but Paco was unfortunately unable to make it along to the meeting so I could have done my full talk in the end, doh! I have added the content back in that I cut out so you can all see it online, you can find the slides on the Security Ninja slide share page or you can view them below:
I decided to keep my notes on the slides when I put them online so you can all do the demos for yourselves and understand everything I was talking about during the talk.
I really enjoyed the OWASP Birmingham chapter meeting and if the first meeting is a sign of things to come it will be a great addition to the application security community in the UK. Well done everyone involved in creating this new chapter!
SN
